Ease of Use:
5 (easy)
Pros:

Sound. Typical 70s phasing effect, warm and subtle. Think of Trower, Gilmour. it's less pronounced than EVH-like phase sounds. The effect shares its design with the MXR Phase 45; the schematics only reveal slightly different values for various components. Ease of use. Using the speed knob, you go progressively from a dreamy effect to a watery warble. Great to use with clean or mildly overdriven tones, or after a fuzz box for swooshing distorted sounds. Instant 70s heaven. Build quality. it's tough like a tank and will last for years (I have mine since 1982 and it had been gathering dust for a while in a small local store when I bought it).

Cons:

The external DC power plug is a jack 3.5mm. Standard ones are now cylindrical two-conductor plugs, so it can be annoying without the right adapter. Fortunately, the effect doesn't suck too much batteries. No activity LED.

5 (excellent)
