Bet it's better than Tony's and Ozzy's books.  Ozzy' was great. But both were ghostwritten.

Geezer's more literate than both of them put together.

Given all the substances they consumed, I'm amazed any of them are remotely coherent.

Just finished it. Given that Geezer was the most sensible, most sober, and most literate member of Sabbath, I was hoping for more. It's more good than great, but if you read Ozzy's and Tony's books, it doesn't offer much more.

I'll be doing a review, but it won't be lengthy.

That's a shame. Sounds like a bit of a wasted opportunity.

I bought it the other day, but it's next-next on my reading list right now. I glanced at the pages, and judging by the enormous font used it's going to be a fast read.

Just finished it. As DDave says, it's good, but not really great....although I did enjoy it. I too was in the middle of a couple of other books but this one quickly took precedence, because the subject matter is more up my alley.....

All of these books, bios, whatever....are usually going to be tales told through each respective person's eyes, so while we've heard some of these stories before, it's cool to hear each band members' different perspectives/outlook on how things went down.

Anyways, overall I think it's cool hearing Geezer's side of things, no real surprises but it's great to hear him tell his tale. He's pretty self deprecating & seems like a fairly down to earth kinda guy. Glad he's still around & it was a nice reminder of back in my teenage years how much I revered him as a major part of Sabbath's super heavy sound. It's easy to forget that sometimes when Tony was last man standing for many different eras, but Geez is as essential to that whole paradigm as Tony, really.

It proudly has a spot on my bookshelf, next to all the other cool bios.
