Terrible, I remember all his movies.  License to Drive, and Blown Away. Not cool.

Just saw that, too. He had a drug problem for a number of years, and there were multiple intervention attempts during that time. So it wasn't that big of a surprise. He was one of those actors that never made the successful transition from teen idol to adult actor, and he got into drugs to dull the sting of his career drying up. Must be a kick in the nads to go from a successful teen movie idol, to only being able to get gigs in TV reality shows based on washed up celebrities. His frequent co-star, Corey Feldman was in the same predicament, but he cleaned up his act a few years ago.

Still, very sad.

RIP Corey

I don't like the idea of the ones that are younger than me dying so young. I knew he was a screw-up, even as a so-called "adult," but I always hope that they get help before it's too late. This one didn't. A shame. RIP

I wonder if the value of his teeth, which he was ripping out on webcam, and selling on Ebay to pay for his drug habit, will go up in value? hmmm

I got a molar.

The only thing I really feel bad about is the fact that he dropped dead right in front of his mother, not cool.

It's always  a sad thing to hear about anyone's life, be it a famous person or not being such a struggle. The torment he'd received from the press and the paparazzi which rubbed off on the general consciousnes of the rest of us was unfortunate.  He was a human being who had problems and took a lot of crap for them.  He'd apparently battled with getting help off and on over the years.  I'd like to think that if I was in his situation I could pull myself up and out of it but I imagine  from where I sit, it's easy to speculate upon how difficult or easy something might be and  how clearly I'd be able to view the situation from the inside of it.

It's much like the scuttle we hear about Robert Downey Jr. but for some reason he doesn't get ragged on as much as the Corey Haims and Corey Feldmans of the world. Humanity is a funny thing.  In my eyes, he was just another Hollywood personality.  He was maybe thrown into the mix of that strange world a little too young for his particular personality or psyche. Perhaps his involvement with Hollywood accelerated a situation he would have faced anyway if he'd  not been a celebrity.  Who knows?

The point is, I never see the benefit in my thinking less of someone like Corey Haim because he made some grave mistakes and I happened to find out about them.  I can't judge him. I don't want to judge him.  I don't want to laugh at him, or pick on him.  I want to be able to allow his death to count for something and remind myself that life is delicate and precious and that sometimes people have terrible problems be it with their career, their health, or their happiness.  I wish him peace and  I wish his family and his friends the same along with the conviction that they did all they could to support him and try to help.  I wish for them that they notice how life is something to be appreciated and move on as best they can.

I feel bad for the guy, I was a big Lost Boys fan when I was a kid.
Drugs are a tough thing to stop doing, they will rip your life apart before you notice and then once you get clean the only thing you want to do is get high again so you don't have to deal with the damage you've done both to yourself and others.
Plus to be in a situation where you have any kind of notoriety, especially as some one who parties people will always give you drugs and want to get high with you just so they can say they partied with a "famous" person.

Its sad. Corey Haim and Corey Feldman were fun to make fun of, because they had kind of cheesy roles.
But I did like both of them in The Lost Boys. I don't like to hear about anyone destroying their life
and I feel bad that he was not strong enough to beat his addiction and sickness. R.I.P.

Loved Haim and Feldman - although Feldman turned into a major douche it seems.

Here is premiere party for the reality show 'The Two Coreys"
Feldman is covering Pink Floyd's Time!

I watched a vid withHaim when he was about 17 years old ,doing an on stage interview - it was like Bealtemania - I mean the girls were screaming at the top of their lungs.
Poor guy - of he could of seen the future - Scary. Like the other poster said, even if he wasn't a celebrity he would of still had demons to battle though like all of us - but having everything and then losing it is hard to overcome.
Props to him for banging that chick from Charles in Charge.

Wherever he is i hope he is at peace.

Everytime I hear about a drug related death, I don't feel like I'm missing out on much.
Sure they might be fun, but they get us all in the end. Especially those prescription drugs. Nasty.  tumbs down

You got that right, man. It's always the same story. People first do drugs to feel good, then they do them to feel normal. Soon, no matter how much they do, they just feel bad. Unfortunately, by that time, it's often too late.

Hell, even Keith Richards/Mick Jagger, David Crosby, and Aerosmith (not sure about Steven though) figured out that drugs are bad for you. You aren't missing a damn thing by going down that road.
